چکیده

The bumblebee, Bombus ignitus (Hymenoptera, Apidae), plays a vital role in pollination Northeast Asia, including Korea, China, Japan, and Far East Russia. Understanding the genetic makeup of population can aid its conservation. This study explores DNA barcode region cytochrome C oxidase subunit I (COI) B. commercial populations from Korea Japan. results reveal low intraspecific diversity among commercially reared populations, with maximum sequence divergence 0.3%. Analysis 458-bp COI gene, 384 previously reported sequences, identified 20 haplotypes highest 2.01% Asia. Commercial show similarity primarily Japanese population. Cross-mating native could result competition contamination, leading to reduced fitness sensitivity future environmental conditions. Morphological similarities make monitoring such effects challenging. provides basis for further research on studies, conservation, commercialization local better services while minimizing risks reducing increasing between introduced populations.

Genetic structure of Asian populations of Bombus ignitus (Hymenoptera: Apidae).

The genetic structure of seven mainland and island Asian populations of Bombus ignitus was investigated using nine microsatellite markers and the sequences of part of the mitochondrial cytochrome b (cytb) gene. While microsatellite markers showed high genetic variability, no sequence variation was found in the cytb gene fragment analyzed. The number of microsatellite alleles ranged from 9 to 24...

Genetic Variation and Inheritance of Early Growth Characteristics in Three Wild Pistachio Populations

Pistacia atlantica is the most important tree species for the economy of many rural areas in west of Iran, but no effort has been made for the genetic improvement of this species. The aim of this investigation was to study the genetic variation and inheritance of early growth traits in P. atlantica. For this purpose, three wild pistachio populations comprising 60 randomly selected adult trees f...

Variation and genetic structure of Melipona quadrifasciata Lepeletier (Hymenoptera, Apidae) populations based on ISSR pattern

For a study of diversity and genetic structuring in Melipona quadrifasciata, 61 colonies were collected in eight locations in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. By means of PCR analysis, 119 ISSR bands were obtained, 80 (68%) being polymorphic. H(e) and H (B) were 0.20 and 0.16, respectively. Two large groups were obtained by the UPGMA method, one formed by individuals from Januária, Urucuia, R...

A serine protease from the midgut of the bumblebee, Bombus ignitus (Hymenoptera: Apidae): cDNA

A serine protease gene was cloned from the bumblebee, Bombus ignitus. The B. ignitus serine protease (BiSP) gene spans 1702 bp and consists of four introns and five exons coding for 250 amino acid residues. Southern blot analysis of genomic DNA suggested that BiSP gene is a single copy gene. The cDNA encoding BiSP was expressed as a 28-kDa polypeptide in baculovirusinfected insect cells and the...
